The Web-site

On this web-site you can browse through the Dicey and Marshall Catalogue, a catalogue produced by a printer in 1764.

For example, the catalogue shows that the following text

Robin Hood's Garland; being a complete History of all
the notable and merry Exploits performed by him
and his Men on divers Occosions. [sic] With a
more full and particular Account of his Birth etc.
than any hitherto published. Adorned with 29
neat Cuts, proper to the Subject of each Song,

could be purchased wholesale at the price of 16 shillings (80p) per 100 copies!

The catalogue is reproduced on the web-site and has a substantial introduction and annotations compiled by Professor Richard Simmons of the School of Historical Studies, University of Birmingham.
